Money
Do you take donations or capitation fees?
No. There is no donation, no building fund and no development charge at admission. The fee structure on this site is the whole of what a parent pays, and any staff member who suggests otherwise should be reported to the Principal in writing.
What does the first year cost?
The fee structure page gives every head for every class, including the one-time charges. Nothing is added after admission except the transport fee, which depends on the route you choose.
The process
Is there an interview for the child?
Not for Nursery — that would be against Delhi’s rules and against our own view of a three-year-old. Classes VI to IX sit a written test in English and Mathematics.
Do siblings get preference?
Yes, in the Nursery draw, and it is one of four declared points along with distance, alumni and girl child. The points are printed on the form and are not applied at anyone’s discretion.
My child is a few weeks outside the age window. Can we still apply?
Write to the office before you pay the registration fee. A relaxation of up to thirty days is at the Principal’s discretion; beyond that we cannot admit, and we would rather tell you in November than in February.
Documents
What documents do we bring?
Birth certificate, four photographs, proof of address and — for Class II and above — the last report card and the transfer certificate. Copies, not originals, unless we ask.
We are moving mid-session. Do you admit then?
Only against a vacancy, and only up to Class IX. Write to the office with the transfer certificate and the last report card and we will tell you within a week whether there is a seat.
If yours is not here, the office answers the telephone
Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on a working day, by a person and not a menu.
