How the four wings — pre-primary, primary, middle and senior secondary — are run differently, and how Class XI streams are chosen.
Four wings, and they are run differently
A parent choosing for a five-year-old and a parent choosing for a fifteen-year-old are choosing two different schools on one campus.
Pre-primary (Nursery, LKG, UKG)
Three to five years old, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, five days a week. No written examination, no homework and no school bag until UKG. Two teachers and one attendant to a section of twenty-four.
Reporting is a written note twice a year and a conversation whenever you want one.
Primary (Classes I to V)
Sections capped at thirty-six. Marks are recorded and are not read out. Reading is timetabled every day until Class III, which is the single decision this school would defend hardest.
One class teacher stays with a section for two years wherever the timetable allows.
Middle (Classes VI to VIII)
Subject teaching begins, and so does the laboratory. Three terms, two reported assessments a term, and a parent–teacher meeting after each.
A second language is chosen in Class VI and cannot be changed after Class VII.
Secondary and senior secondary (IX to XII)
Sections capped at thirty. Board classes have a fixed pre-board schedule published in the calendar at the start of the year, not announced in the term it happens.
Stream choice is made at the end of Class X on the Class X board result, with one week of counselling before the form goes in.
Streams

Chosen in conversation with a subject mentor during Class IX, not allocated by marks alone.
Commerce
One section of about twenty-eight. Accountancy is taught by two teachers so that the practical work is marked in the same week it is set.
Humanities
One section of about twenty-four. The smallest stream and, since 2019, the one with the highest average board score.

What is the same in all four
- The assembly, eleven minutes, every morning
- One library period a week, timetabled and not swappable
- A named class teacher who answers the telephone
